Overview

DrillExpert HoleClean is real-time monitor software for wellbore cleanness in extended reach well, which has established 3D cuttings movement model in order to simulate cuttings moving in whole wellbore (vertical section, inclined section and horizontal section) when drilling or stop circulating, and which has considered speed difference of liquid-solid phase, drilling pipe rotation and cuttings movement of suspension, rolling and sliding. Besides which has integrated ECD for real-time monitor. The software could be used in real-time wellbore cleanness monitor, annular cuttings bed evaluation and hydraulics analysis.

Key Functions

1. Real-time wellbore cleanness monitor
   Based on theoretical minimum flow rate of cuttings carrying and annular pressure loss model, wellbore cleanness will be monitored by comparing the current interval’s cleanness with measured flow rate, theoretical minimum flow rate and annular ECD.
2. Wellbore cleanness forecast
   Based on monitoring the cleanness of current drilling interval, the next interval’s cleanness and hydraulics parameter will be automatically calculated.
3. Comparison analysis and report
   The software provides comparison and contrast analysis by plotting wellbore cleanness data, which includes annular cuttings bed distribution and maximum height, theoretical minimum flow rate and measured flow rate, forecasting pump pressure and actual pump pressure.
   Also, the software provides reporting for wellbore cleanness monitor, which includes project information, wellbore cleanness monitor data, wellbore cleanness forecast result etc.
